The Fire and Ice Festival
This unique festival was loved by all, and may make a return sometime again soon…
In 2015, Blazen Illuminations began the 3 day Fire and Ice Festival in the heart of Downtown Loveland, Colorado. It was bringing together a life-long vision to have a festival during Valentine’s weekend in the Sweetheart City. This tourism-based festival showcased local and regional artists, diverse talent, food, drink, fire, ice, and snow sculpting competitions along with a musical light show and fireworks display each night. The first year brought in several thousand guests, and record numbers for the local area. From hotels to restaurants the Loveland, Colorado area was excited to welcome the festival and tourism numbers.
In the following 3 years, the Fire and Ice Festival brought in over 150,000 guests and booked out most of the Northern Colorado area. Fire and Ice Festival was even featured in international news and tourism media. Fire and Ice Festival grew to encompass the entire 5-block radius of Downtown Loveland, Colorado.
During its final year, the Fire and Ice Festival had everything from carriage rides to a brewer’s tent with brewers from all over Colorado. Both adults and children alike were able to enjoy a destination event in a hometown atmosphere. In addition, it’s been reported that the local economy experienced a large, positive impact over the festival’s four years, which was a major goal for this event.
