Monster to Midnight is a fun celebration of all things monster during one of our favorite times of the year,” said Ed Edmunds, owner of Distortions Unlimited. “My hope is that families find this to be a fun, not too scary event, that allows them a closer look at the magic of monsters.”

Starting on Friday, September 17, 2021, Monster to Midnight is open from 6 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays in September and Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays in October plus Halloween night. Tickets are available at monstertomidnight.com and cost $35 for age 12+; $27 for age 6-11; free for children under 5; and a special family four pack for $99.

Monster to Midnight is an exclusive after-hours celebration hosted by the Timekeeper and his assistants,” stated Nate Webb, co-owner of Blazen Illuminations. “The Timekeeper and his assistants have taken residence at Distortions Monster World and freeze time each night to bring monsters from all corners of the universe to this special 6-hour event. You may see characters from different periods of time including celebrities both famous and infamous. This darker, louder version of Distortions Monster World allows for a slightly scarier family-friendly experience and an amazing alternative to a haunted house.”

Distortions Monster World will remain open for guests during its regularly scheduled hours on non-event days and for slightly shortened hours on event days through September and October. Distortions Monster World is located at 500 16th Street Mall on the first floor in Suite #180, between Motomaki and Hot Topic. For more information, visit monstertomidnight.com

About Distortions Monster World:

Distortions Monster World is a monster museum that features creatures and characters by Distortions Unlimited in cinematic sets designed by Blazen Illuminations. Located at the Denver Pavilions on Denver’s 16th Street Mall, the Denver attraction opened in December 2020. Visitors are transported to another place as they explore interactive scenes in a 19,000 square-foot space where giants roam, aliens have arrived, and you never know what’s around the corner – life-sized ghouls, snarling gargoyles, creatures of the night, and more.

The monsters featured throughout the exhibit are the creations of Distortions Unlimited, owners Ed Edmunds and Marsha Taub-Edmunds, their talented team, and the many artists and sculptors Distortions works with. Distortions has been making monsters out of Greeley, Colo. for more than 40 years and is one of the preeminent designers of animatronic monsters and displays for the dark entertainment industry. Edmunds, Taub-Edmunds and the creative team at Distortions Unlimited were also the focus of the reality show “Making Monsters” that aired on The Travel Channel for three seasons.
Each scene in Distortions Monster World features vibrant theatrical lighting and immersive sound design, projection, special effects, and more. These elements of the exhibit are designed, developed, and produced by the award-winning production team from Blazen Illuminations, a Loveland, Colo.-based business that also manages the attraction. The creative team at Blazen Illuminations also designed, developed and produced the Denver selfie-style museum Earth Illuminated, which they manage on the second floor of the Denver Pavilions above Distortions Monster World.
