Blazen Illuminations partners with Denver’s Union Station and Crawford Hotel to produce the “Great Hall Silent Disco & Light Show” as a part of its annual New Year’s Eve event. Attendees to this quintessential New Year’s Eve celebration held in Denver’s iconic landmark, immerse themselves in an epic light show in the Great Hall while grooving to their choice of three live silent disco DJs.
Each year, Blazen’s highly experienced team of technical creative artists produce an original digital video projection that encompasses the entire space of the historic landmark built in 1914. Video content is projected across the Great Hall’s soaring walls, arches and ceiling to create a fully immersive light show that takes event revelers on a unique journey.
Blazen deploys projection mapping technology, which scans the building’s interior spaces, to produce the immersive experience. As opposed to projecting video onto a flat wall, the projection mapping produced by Blazen uses every shape, form and line to create something customized to the space – bringing the walls to life. Because the building’s interior shapes and forms create the storyboard template for the project, these shows are customized for Union Station and can only be seen there.
