Distortions Monster World - Denver, CO

Blazen Illuminations, along with Distortions Unlimited, partnered up in 2020 to bring to life a museum unlike anything that had been seen before.
For over 2 years, Distortions Monster World invited guests to get up close and personal with their favorite monster friends. From Frankenstein to Slimer, Distortions Monster World was perfect for monster lovers everywhere.

In 2018, Blazen Illuminations and Distortions Unlimited came together to put on a one-night-only show in Lincoln Park in Greeley, Colorado. This show later became known as Distortions Monster World. What both Blazen Illuminations and Distortions Unlimited didn’t know was that this would turn into a multi-year experience, and later a fully realized monster museum.

During 2018 and 2019, Distortions Monster World would debut at the Greeley, Colorado event “Monster Day Greeley.” This experience brought together the work of Distortions Unlimited and the entertainment background of Blazen Illuminations. Together with actors, fog, immersive lighting techniques, and animatronics, Distortions Monster World was a hit with guests.

In 2020 both Blazen Illuminations and Distortions Unlimited agreed to take this one-night event and make it an all-year-round immersive experience. Opening on December 18th, 2020 Distortions Monster World ran for just under 2 years. Inviting guests to learn the beauty of monsters and to see the art behind the creature.

As a guest you were able to see first-hand how monsters were made, take pictures with  some of your favorite Distortions Unlimited characters, and learn about the unique history behind the creatures throughout the museum. Eventually, Distortions Monster World garnered the attention of Forbes and was even featured as a top attraction to visit in 2021!
